Jackson and I took a trip to Minnehaha Falls this morning. I thought Jackson might like to take the Light Rail down there -- I was right! He was so excited to get on the train, look at the scenery flying by, and of course, shouting "Choo-choo!" I'm not sure if the people around us enjoyed it as much as we did, but it was great! Once we got down to the actual falls, Jackson was just in awe. We spend lots of time walking around the park and playing on the "old school" playground. I doubt Jackson had ever seen a metal slide or jungle gym. It was a fun way to end our summer together. I go back to work on Monday and Jackson starts back to "Honey's" (daycare.)

Dancin' Machine
My cousin, Cayla, got married yesterday! Congratulations, Cayla and Todd! We had a wonderful time celebrating their special day and catching up with family members we hadn't seen in a long time. However, after dinner, the real show started... our little Jackson turned in the "Dancin' Machine!" The music started playing and he was off to the dance floor! I don't think he missed a dance until he (literally) hit the floor with exhaustion about 9:30 pm! What a little nut!
Happy Birthday, Jackson! You're two!
We celebrated Jackson's 2nd birthday on August 15th (his real birthday is August 10th.) Grandpa Schill, Grandma Agee, and lots more friends and family came over to our house for a BBQ. Jackson loved every minute of it, even when our party got rained on. We just moved everybody into the garage and watched the kids play in the rain! I didn't get a lot of pictures of the fun celebration, but here are a few highlights (lots of trucks and tricycles!)
Cousins hit the Museum
Jackson's cousins, Alivia and Shay, came down to help him celebrate his 2nd birthday. The morning before the "big party", we took them to the MN Children's Museum. What a blast! They are at the perfect age for the museum. The girls had never been there before, so Jackson was all ready to show them all of the good stuff: Clifford's room and the WATER room!

National Night Out
Every year, our block holds a National Night Out event. It's a fun way to get together with our neighbors, chat, eat good food, and find out what's happening in the neighborhood. The police and fire department stop by and let the kids climb around in their vehicles and pass out goodies. Jackson wasn't into it last year, but this year... he was all about it! I think he spent most of the party in the back of the squad car (let's hope that's the last of his visits!) The police officer was very nice to him and even turned on the flashing lights for him to see. He was in heaven! Jackson invited a few of the neighborhood girls to join him in the car. Watch out, girls! He's a ladies man already! : ) Oh well, it was a great evening out for the whole family!
